Loma Linda University School of Medicine is a Christian institution. Notable

surgery. Loma Linda University is also home to the schools of Allied Health
Professions, Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Religion, Pharmacy, Public Health,
and Science and Technology with slightly more than 4000 students.
Loma Linda is a center of activity for the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Many
residents of Loma Linda are adherents to this Christian denomination.
Most restaurants in Loma Linda have to feature a "vegetarian" menu in addition
to regular menu items. Baker's Drive-Thru at Anderson Street and Redlands
Boulevard was the first store in that fast-food chain to feature the now-famous
"Loma Linda" menu, chock full of vegetarian items, like the Gardenburger;the
chain has since dropped the Loma Linda name and expanded its vegetarian choices.
The city of Loma Linda is part of the Redlands Unified School District with the
Bryn Mawr Elementary school being situated within Loma Linda City limits.

dentistry, medicine, and nursing. Both the Academy and the University are run by
the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Loma Linda was featured by National Geographic

rate.
